  1. What a wonderful bird walk Ashley, it’s great you can see so many different birds there. Great photos of the beautiful scarlet honeyeater, too. I have read about the latest avian flu on Heard Island, it has severely affected seal pups and also the gentoo penguins there. Hopefully it can be contained.

    • Thanks Sue, yes the Scarlets are always a treat to actually photograph as they are so small and fly so fast and so high up in the tall tree canopy. We do hope and pray that our birds and animals may be spared the devastating disease. Enjoy your week.

  2. Thanks Donna, yes we are amazed that when we bring my wife’s friend we often see special birds even though she is not a birder. We love trying to capture images of the Scarlet, it is such a challenge. Enjoy your week my friend 🙂
