    • Thank you my anonymous friend, for your encouraging comment, it is much appreciated. We are richly blessed to have such an amazing creative and faithful Creator who shares his own love of variety, beauty and wonder through his marvelous creation, which so many miss when consumed with selfish destructive mindsets. Enjoy your weekend. 🙂

  2. Hello Ash,
I am glad you were able to enjoy a peaceful walk. It is heartwarming to see ‘Butch’ visiting you and recognising his human friends. I loved seeing the inquisitive expressions on the female Golden Whistler’s face as she observed you from above.
May you and your wife have a blessed trip next week and keeping you in our daily thoughts & prayers.

    • Thanks Takami, yes we love our resident birds and have come to know them and their trust has gradually increased, particularly with the Butcherbirds, Magpies, Crested Pigeon and Noisy Miners. Most of the miners are very trusting and quiet but one we call ‘Noise’ comes each day about 2.00 pm and carries on while the others quietly use the baths. They each have individual character. The female whistlers are always predictable and this one has its winter coat and looks cute. It is interesting amongst the bird pairs of each specie that either the male or female of a specie will be human shy and the other sex quite bold. Enjoy you week my friend.

  3. I love the sounds of the grey butcherbird. There is a family that lives in the trees in my street and I always hear them throughout the day. Sometimes I see them sitting on my roof or the telegraph pole scoffing down some food. I have a soft spot for the pied butcherbirds, I think their calls are more musical, but we only have the greys here in Tassie.
