  1. Hello Ashley,
It is impressive to see the Scarlet Honeyeater, not a bird we get locally, but just occassionally small numbers make the trip south over summer.
Autumn winter in the Oz bush is a great time as all the lovely correa and grevillae seem to come out to provide for the nectar preferring birds.

    • Thanks David, it appears as though you have had some trouble accessing my comments as you have commented as anonymous? Yes the Scarlts do feature here during the colder months also though we do not have many flowers mainly gum flowers and lerps is their food now high in the canopy. Enjoy your week 😊

  2. Hello Ash,
You and your wife were blessed with another lovely birding date – how wonderful. Meeting other birding couples and sharing the experience of observing each beautiful bird must have been an extra blessing. As much as I often gripe about our species, genuine moments of connection are so important😊 We can’t pick a ‘favourite’ bird (all are lovely) but we do love enjoy the unique shape of the Spoonbills. Have a blessed weekend ahead.

    • Thanks Takami, yes have a bit of chuckle watching Spoonies at times with their antics trying to use their large bills. Especially when they occasionally hit each other with their bills while they use the scythe action when in a close group. It is difficult to pick a favorite bird as you say. Have a blessed weekend also my friend.
