We have been away this week on the other side on the west coast of Australia in Perth WA to visit family and also to photograph the occasional bird, so a post is not forth coming this week except for this follow up of the young Grey Butcherbird featured last post. which I saw and heard begging today after our return. It continues to beg as the father brings it each day to the birdbath. It has grown somewhat and is starting to don some immature plumage. What is notable in these shots is the presence of another older immature bird which appears to be much more developed and might be late last years brood or an earlier year.

A little after these pics I watched as junior carefully observed a couple of Noisy Miners use the birdbaths for washing after first being surprised and feeling threatened by their entrance. Birds, similar to us learn from observation, even from watching other species. Each time this little guy watches it helps build his knowledge and faith in the use of the birdbath.
It was interesting to watch this youngster enjoy its first Merry-go-round ride on the clothesline. I was hoping for some more wind, in summer it would be blowing by now.
Enjoy your week and hopefully I will have some western birds next post. Don’t forget my books for great gifts birthday and Christmas. Go to my Home Page to find out more.
Knowledge, wisdom and understanding can come from many different sources, even learning from those who may offend us or whom we fear as shown by our youngster above. What ever the case be ‘get it’ and live well at in joy, peace and love. Live harmoniously with the people in your life.

“Wisdom is the most important thing; so get wisdom. If it costs everything you have, get understanding.
Treasure wisdom, and it will make you great; hold on to it, and it will bring you honor.” – Proverbs 4:7,8 (NCV)

How delightful that was seeing them in the bath, and the little getting a wee ride on the clothesline. The adults have a lovely spot of color on their wings and an interesting eye.
Have a lovely wee-end, Ashley!
