Introduction:

‘Reflect On These Things’ is my third book release which unlike the previous books, has a distinctive Christian Meditative content. It is a daily devotional which seeks to restore the almost lost concept of Spiritual Mindfulness which is known more commonly as Christian Meditation.

The Objective:

This book seeks to help its reader learn to personally hear from God through the voice of his Holy Spirit. We live in an age where many Christians are too busy, too stressed and often preoccupied by modern media to seek intimacy with God as Father, and enjoy the peace and joy of his presence. God earnestly desires our fellowship with him, which is why he uniquely created each of us. We are warned in Revelation 3 not to become luke-warm and complacent in our love for our Lord Jesus, if we are to maintain lives of “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Rom 14:17. It is so important to hear God’s voice if we are to be led by his Holy Spirit and be empowered to ‘walk in the Spirit’ as God exhorts us to through Paul’s teachings in the New Testament.

About the Author

The author and his wife are both Christians who share the hobby of birdwatching, known as birding, where they observe the behaviour of birds. The author has integrated his studies in bird behaviour with that of human behaviour to produce this unique, easy reading and beautifully presented daily devotional.

Reflect On These Things takes the reader on a journey into a deeper and more personal relationship with God in Christ, by employing the skill of reflective Christian meditation, through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Reflective meditation requires us to relate the truths revealed during our time with God, to our lives.  As we reflect on the comparison of our lives with what God has revealed, we are better able to process the personal insights received during our times of reflection. These reflections become the catalyst for change and growth in our personal lives, which enables us to better reflect  the character of our Lord Jesus Christ.
