  2. Great post Ashley, there is certainly plenty of birdlife there to keep anyone busy. Hope you are staying as cool as possible, it’s been quite hot down this way as well, and also very dry, I hope this heatwave ends soon and we get some decent rainfall. Have a great weekend!

    • Thanks Sue, yes the heat is persisting here and affecting the birds as well as us, though a southerly change is just blowing through at the moment. Hope you are enjoying your time in Tassie, many people from around here have gone there for holidays at present on cheap airfares. Have a great weekend! 🙂

  3. The Narrabeen Lagoon Trail looks like my kind of place, Ashley, so much diversity in that loop! Beautiful photos, I especially loved the Australian Pelicans (gorgeous striking plumage!), the Rainbow Lorikeet (stunning!) and the White-bellied Sea-Eagle shots (extraordinary!). The Sea-Eagle over the water that you put the Scripture on is absolutely gorgeous!!! Thank you for also sharing the Bible Scriptures referencing Eagles, your post and words came together quite nicely. Oh oh oh, and awesome song recording, how cool to hear you sing! A wonderful post all way around, Ashley!

    • Thanks Donna, that photo of the eagle with Isaiah 40 on it is of an eagle that had an eyrie near where I use to live on the coast and it knew me and would come and hover over my head when it saw me. My friends would call out when I was swimming “There’s your eagle Ashley!” but every time I reached for my camera, without as much as moving a feather it would drift away in the breeze. I got this shot as it came past the cliff face, I also caught him bringing back a fish. Have a wonderful weekend my friend!

    • Thanks Kathie, it is a beautiful part of the world, though extremely hot at the moment with multiple heat waves. We could do with some of you cooler air over here at the moment.

      • Our local birding group used to be called “Werribee Wagtails” and of course Willie was the mascot or Signature bird.
We still use it in the name of the monthly newsletter “Werribee Wag-tales” and a Willie always graces the masthead.
